Job DescriptionsDuties and Responsibilities:
Supervising and leading the housekeeping staff: You would be responsible for ensuring that the housekeeping team is working efficiently and following established standards and procedures. This may include assigning and delegating tasks, providing training, and monitoring performance to ensure high levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Assisting with scheduling and planning: You would support the housekeeping manager in creating and maintaining work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
You may also assist in planning and coordinating the execution of deep cleaning, maintenance, and projects within the department.
Maintaining inventory and supplies: It would be your responsibility to monitor and control housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring that they are well-stocked and in good condition. This may involve inventory management, ordering supplies, and coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations: You would be expected to ensure that all housekeeping operations are
conducted in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and resort policies. This may involve conducting regular inspections, training staff on proper procedures, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Assisting with guest requests and resolving issues: As part of the management team, you would be expected to handle guest requests, inquiries, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. This may involve coordinating special requests, ensuring prompt resolution of issues, and maintaining open lines of communication with guests and other departments.
