The primary focus of this role is to manage all underwriting aspects of motor insurance products, including development and implementation of motor underwriting guideline, policies and processes to ensure the highest quality of risk underwriting, cost control and compliance. The candidate is expected to support business expansion through intermediaries such as Brokers, Agents and Bancassurance to achieve sales and profit targets. This position will report to Personal and Business Insurance Director (expatriate). Oversee the day-to-day operations of the underwriting function to ensure new business, endorsement and renewal processes are effective Manage and maintain Underwriting guidelines Review market price of motor insurance and work with Actuarial department to deliver competitive pricing Work closely with marketing team and cross functional distribution network as well as Head of Motor Claims to achieve Loss Ratio target Ensure all budget and performance targets are met or exceeded, including profitability and growth target Initiate and contribute to strategic and action plan of the Motor business and distribution development Optimize work process efficiency and uphold customer satisfaction Develop and lead team members in terms of technical and business development Monitor motor operations performance and provide guidance on portfolio analytics
