Job Descriptions
- Plan, manage, and oversee motor claim operations in line with company policies, business objectives, and regulatory requirements. - Lead and manage the Motor Claim team to ensure effective claim handling, timely settlement, achievement of KPIs, and compliance with SLA. - Review, approve, and manage complex, high-value, or sensitive motor claim cases. - Oversee salvage management and recovery/subrogation activities to optimize claim cost control and financial outcomes. - Develop, review, negotiate, and manage contracts and service agreements with garages and authorized service centers, including pricing, service standards, and SLA compliance. - Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders, including brokers, garages, service centers, surveyors, lawyers, reinsurers, and regulators. - Monitor claim performance, outstanding cases, loss trends, salvage and recovery results, and prepare management reports. - Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of motor claim data and reports to the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) accurately and within regulatory timelines. - Ensure full compliance with company policies, OIC regulations, policy terms, and internal controls. - Represent the Motor Claim function in management meetings, audits, and regulatory discussions.
Qualifications
  1. Male, aged 35 years or above.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or other related fields; candidates with relevant experience will be given special consideration.
  3. At least 8–10 years of experience in motor insurance claims, with experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  4. Experience in reviewing surveyor reports (e.g. E-Survey) is an advantage.
  5. Strong knowledge of the non-life insurance business, particularly motor insurance.
  6. Good knowledge of insurance law, as well as regulations, rules, and notifications issued by the Insurance Registrar / Office of Insurance Commission (OIC).
  7. Strong leadership skills with proven ability in team management and staff development.
  8. Ability to work effectively under pressure from external stakeholders and challenging situations.
  9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build understanding and maintain effective relationships with customers, team members, and related stakeholders.
