Job Responsibilities: •Communicate with customers in a proactive style (Establish ongoing positive dialog for continual customer satisfaction) •Some travel to visit customer and supplier locations •Lead the development and execution of the quality plan for new product launches, ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards •Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launch of new products, including design, engineering, production and supply chain •Conduct quality reviews of new products, identifying and resolving potential quality issues before they impact production or customer satisfaction •Designing and implementing simple and effective systems, work instructions •and mistake-proofing methods for improved customer satisfaction and reducing waste •Internal auditing ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other relevant quality standards, including PPAP and APQP •Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) •Use 8D style problem solving tools to eliminate root causes and drive improvement •Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement both pre-launch and during initial production

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical (Tool & Die) Engineering , Chemical Engineering (Plastic), Industrial Engineering or related field
Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles and continuous improvement methodologies, including knowledge of lean quality manufacturing
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively analyze and interpret complex data. CAPA (8D, PDCA, RCA, 5 Why, Ishikawa)
Strong Automotive New Product Launch experience preferred – proven engineering leadership (blueprints, strong GD&T, SPC)
Structured adherence to APQP Lean Launch Process
Project Management / Good diagnostic, problem-solving skills, decision making and priority setting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
IATF 16949 Quality Systems (VDA 6.3 also helpful) including Metrology and gage calibration systems, PPAP (IMDS, PIF, PFMEA, CP, etc.)
Strong, effecting, and compelling communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (Presentation, verbal, organizational and written skills)
College or technical degree with 3-5 years QE experience, preferably in plastic injection molding applications (automotive and non-automotive)
