Job Descriptions

Contributes to improving health and safety performance in the respective organization (eg, business area, division, site) to embed an exemplary health and safety culture. Supports the business by applying in-depth health and safety knowledge to offer solutions and advice. Ensures effective risk management through excellence along the ABB value chain.

Qualifications

Risk • Facilitates health and safety risk assessment by line management of customer site and shop floor employees, ie, those directly affected by hazards, and ensures all processes are implemented.
• Reports health and safety incidents
• Provides feedback on lessons learned as well as best practices from both own unit and across ABB, to management and employees.
• Reports progress on the implementation of ABB Group sustainability objectives and KPIs (key performance indicators) for the ABB Group, as required. Regulatory compliance
• Implements policies and standards and ensures the area of responsibility is audited.
• Assists line managers in understanding obligations, liabilities and role fulfillment, according to local health and safety laws as well as Group and business-specific requirements. Continuous improvement
• Maintains external awareness and perspective, acting as an expert with consulting responsibilities on health and safety-related knowledge and trends. Communication and engagement
• Engages external stakeholders (eg, customers, suppliers, relevant authorities) and internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness of, gain commitment to and obtain objective feedback on ABB's health and safety efforts and performance.
• Cooperates with other functions and business partners to drive health and safety performance.
• Identifies, plans and initiates training needs, eg, for employees, site managers and contractors.
• Contributes to and/or plans and executes health and safety-related projects. • Develops and reports on project objectives. • Manages project resources such as material other relevant factors.
