About the Role: Successful applicant will be responsible for programming, setting & operating CNC machine and other machine shop equipment to produce high-end machine high end components to the highest standards, consistently meeting our clients detailed specifications. Work involves a variety of activities, including but not limited to; 1. Comfort with interpreting blueprints, schematics and other technical documents. 2. Have an in-depth knowledge of CAD/CAM. 3. Attention to detail and accuracy 4. Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills 5. Strong analytical, mathematical and computer skills 6. Effective written and verbal communication skills Key Responsibilities: *Set-up, operate & program machines, such as mills, lathe, CNC & EDM for both mass production and one-off prototyping *Interpret and work from technical drawings and engineering documentation *Create and adjust programs using CAD/CAM software (experience an advantage) *Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship *Ability to work with less supervision and with good communication skills *With niche attention to safety and process improvement's *To establish our new machine shop and required necessary tools

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
Proven CNC machining experience in a production or engineering environment with at least 3~5 years of experience
Able to communicate with the team members and customers
Adaptability: The ability to effectively manage competing priorities simultaneously and carry out non-routine tasks under general direction
Problem Solving: Proven ability to investigate routine problems by identifying and considering the implications of a range of available alternative solutions
Ability to provide technical input and engage in technical interchange with researchers on the mechanical design, prototyping, development, manufacture and installation of mechanisms and equipment.
Demonstrate experience in setting up complex or intricate machining that involves programming, inspection, diagnosis and modification of work in a computerized machining Centre within the workshop
Ability to lead projects and provide technical support and advice to other team members within the workshop, including assistance in the allocation & prioritization of work.
Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary support team of staff and contractors, and carry out tasks under general direction in support of scientific research.
