Job Descriptions•Supervise, train, and mentor a team of receiving associates, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
•Assign daily tasks and priorities to the receiving team to meet operational demands.
•Oversee the unloading of incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders (POs) and delivery notes.
•Ensure proper handling of materials, including fragile, heavy, or hazardous goods, in accordance with safety protocols.
•Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers for efficient delivery schedules.
•Manage and prioritize incoming goods based on urgency and production schedules.
•Conduct initial visual inspection of incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
•Coordinate with the Quality Control department for detailed inspection and disposition of materials as required.
•Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical receipts and documentation, working with procurement and suppliers.
•Ensure accurate data entry into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system for all incoming inventory.
•Ensure all received goods are properly tagged, labeled, and prepared for storage or transfer to production areas.
•Maintain accurate receiving logs, records, and documentation.
•Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliation as needed.
