The Chemist – Research & Development is responsible for to lead and support the development, optimization, and innovation of new chemical products through scientific research, formulation, testing, and process development. Ensures that products meet performance, safety, regulatory and quality standards while contributing to the strategic goals of the organization. Tasks & responsibilities - Leading product innovation projects – Driving the development of new chemical products to meet consumer needs in Oil & Gas and related industries. - Conducting research and development to create new products, processes and technologies. - Testing and evaluating existing products and processes for improvement - Developing and optimizing formulations – Ensuring superior product performance, quality, and regulatory compliance by conducting the experimental design, testing, and analysis to enhance the effectiveness and safety of chemical applications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development aligns with industry standards and customer requirements. - Applying scientific expertise – Utilize cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in chemical engineering and applied sciences.

Qualifications

Master's degree or Ph.D. in chemical engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related field.
Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in chemistry development within the chemical services sector, preferably related to refinery and petrochemical applications.
Strong foundation in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and product formulation.
Proven ability to address complex chemical challenges and devise innovative solutions.
Excellent communication in English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
