Job Descriptions
The Senior Accounting Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the company's financial records, with a primary focus on fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, and comprehensive tax management (VAT and WHT). This role involves hands-on execution of accounting tasks, meticulous reconciliation, and contributing to process improvements. The Senior Accounting Officer will also provide guidance and support to junior team members, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
Guidance and Support:
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff on accounting procedures and tax regulations.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and support documents prepared by junior staff to ensure adherence to company policies and accuracy.
Fixed Asset Accounting:
- Manage the fixed asset register, including recording additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, TFRS).
- Ensure accurate classification and coding of fixed assets in the General Ledger (GL).
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of the fixed asset register with physical assets and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare fixed asset reports for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.
General Ledger (GL) Maintenance:
- Ensure accuracy in GL postings related to fixed assets, VAT, WHT, and other tax accounts.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for key accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all journal entries and adjustments are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on fixed assets, General Ledger, and taxation.
- Proven ability to guide or mentor junior staff on accounting procedures is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, TFRS) and Thai tax regulations (VAT, WHT).
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Mango or Oracle).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
