Job Descriptions

Define and update quality control standards for optical modules and plan reliability tests (e.g., Telcordia GR‑468, MIL‑STD‑883). Participate in new product development (NPI), conduct PFMEA and PCP to identify and control risks, and enhance design quality. Monitor in-process quality (e.g., CPK, SPC), manage defects using 8D reports, implement corrective and preventive actions. Evaluate supplier quality, establish incoming inspection standards, and support quality improvement initiatives (SCAR). Handle customer complaints (RMA analysis), conduct root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone), and propose improvement plans. Report key quality KPIs such as DPPM and MTBF. Design and execute reliability tests (HTOL, TC, UBDH), collaborate with labs for failure analysis using SEM/EDS, Eye-diagram, etc. Support quality tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to reduce cost of quality (COQ) and production losses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Optical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields
At least 5 years of experience in quality roles within the optical module/optical communication industry. Familiarity with high-speed modules like 100G/400G/800G is essential.
Strong knowledge of key optical module parameters (e.g., optical power, sensitivity, extinction ratio, BER), testing methods (e.g., BERT, spectrum analysis).
Understanding of optical device packaging (e.g., TOSA/ROSA, lasers, photodetectors) and common failure modes.
Proficient in quality tools: APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC. Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) is a plus.
Skilled in statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP; able to analyze data from ATE effectively.
Familiarity with industry standards: IEEE 802.3, MSA protocols, RoHS/REACH.
Male, aged 28–35
Good English communication skills (written and spoken) for dealing with international clients and reading technical documentation.
