Cost Negotiation:
•Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
•Monitor market trends and work to mitigate potential cost increases.
•Inventory Control:
•Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
•Implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Quality Assurance:
•Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that raw materials meet established quality standards.
•Address any quality issues with suppliers promptly and implement corrective actions.
Compliance:
•Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in the procurement process.
•Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and changes in regulations that may impact procurement activities.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
•Proven experience in purchasing, with a focus on raw materials.
•Strong negotiation and communication skills.
•In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
•Familiarity with inventory control principles and practices.
