Job Descriptions• Perform daily briefing of target and quota and review of last day’s operation. Make the daily rounds inside and outside the production area to exchange information and/or give instructions to Production Supervisors, consult and confirm work plans and instructions.
• Review and check reports submitted by Production Supervisors and/or Shift Leaders, prepare operational schedules, and coordinate next-day plans based on these reports.
• Observe the condition of materials, equipment, housekeeping, and even employees and other work conditions, if something is wrong, make the necessary decisions/actions, and coordinate with all concerned functions/departments.
• Analyze monthly reports [e.g., wastage, machine usage, inventory, yield analysis, etc.]
• Report to the Operations manager or GM items related to production status, plans, and problems.
• Direct and control the staff of the department to ensure that they are appropriately trained and motivated and carry out their responsibilities according to the required standards.
• Oversee all operating processes to ensure that the most efficient and effective process is applied in the plant and the equipment and that, safety standards are adhered to.
• Prepare and monitor budget to ensure optimal use of the production resources.
• Maintain regular contact with other functional departments to ensure that they are aware of production requirements and to identify early on potential problems early.
• When needed, provide advice and support to other departments on production issues.
• Work with the engineering department to ensure that machine downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Evaluate workers' performance, and resolve disciplinary issues.
• Maintain an awareness of new developments in production processes and propose modifications to plant and equipment so that the company makes the best use of technological developments in its sector.
• Achieve production plan targets.
• Manage and control manpower overtime.
