Job Descriptions
1. Process and Product Development / Troubleshooting - Development of the Technical Practice to ensure the optimization of the production procedure. Development of the Product Specification this includes the development of new products such as new alloys and their associated production processes. Updating of specifications such as tolerances.
2. Quality Development - Develops and maintains the company’s quality standard and quality system. Develop the company’s testing and inspection procedure. Develop graphs and tables to show the trend of product quality characteristics. The quality status needs to be review and report periodically and remedial action for improvement to be recommended.
3. Quality Inspection - Tests raw materials or production materials to determine their conformity with the specification. Execute the quality assurance activities, including in-process audit, laboratory evaluation and final inspection. Manage and improve the laboratories tooling equipment’s.
4. Customer Complaint - Understands the customers’ needs and product requirements. In the case of a customer complaint due to a material defect, he must determine the cause of the defect and formulate and propose a corrective.
5. Environmental Protection - Liaison work with the environmental agencies in Thailand to maintain update knowledge on the Thai environmental regulations. Development, formulation and proposal of action plans to ensure the company conform the Thai environmental regulations. Carry out tests with Approved Agencies.
6. Supervision - Supervises the work of subordinates to ensure their proper development and improvement.
7. Training – Teaches, trains and rolls down new processes, procedures, techniques and standards to other members of the Technical Department and to members of other departments.
Qualifications
- University Degree in Industrial, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics or Chemistry
- 4-5 years’ experience in Metals Industry and Engineering knowledge (is an advantage)
- Excellent oral and written communication in Thai and English (Chinese would be of benefit)
- Good computer skill such as Ms Office word, excel, pivot table, Auto CAD, statistic
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills and committed team player
- Able to work independently with the minimum of supervision
- Self-starter and willing to take the initiative
- Experience in ISO 9000, TIS 17025 (ISO/IEC 17025) will be an advantage
