Job Descriptions
Financial Management - Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger. - Monitor and analyse monthly management accounts to support strategic decision-making. - Manage bank accounts, monitor cash flow, and maintain accurate cash balances. - Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts monthly. - Ensure accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and report preparation. - Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance. - Ensure timely payments to suppliers and manage vendor relationships. - Handle invoice processing and payment disbursements per established procedures. - Support FP&A by providing timely and relevant financial data. - Liaise with external auditors and stay updated on accounting standards and practices. Local Tax Compliance - Review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns prepared by external agents. - Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and submission deadlines. - Liaise with external tax agents on compliance matters. - Stay current on tax law changes and implement updates to minimize tax risk. Leadership - Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure efficient workflows and quality output. - Startup Environment - Thrive in a fast-paced startup setting with flexibility and adaptability. - Collaborate cross-functionally to support company growth and strategic goals.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. CPA a must, with the ability to sign off on bookkeeping internally.
  3. 7-8 years of experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of full-suite accounting principles and practices.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations, with experience in tax compliance and reporting.
  6. Familiarity with payroll processing and HR functions is advantageous.
  7. Experience working in a start-up environment is desirable, demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  8. Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong accounting skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments
