Job Descriptions
1.Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Procurement teams to develop and source cosmetic packaging components such as glass bottles, pump bottles, lipstick tubes, cream jars, sachets, etc. 2.Analyze packaging materials in terms of function, aesthetics, product compatibility, and production feasibility. 3.Coordinate with local and international suppliers to source high-quality materials that meet company standards while ensuring cost efficiency. 4.Review and approve packaging specifications, BOMs, and technical drawings in collaboration with the technical team. 5.Support strategic sourcing activities such as RFQs, cost breakdown analysis, and the development of new suppliers. 6.Conduct packaging durability tests such as drop tests, leakage tests, and compatibility tests with cosmetic formulas. 7.Collaborate with QA/QC departments to inspect packaging material quality and verify supplier certifications such as GMP, ISO 22716, FSC. 8.Stay up-to-date with cosmetic packaging trends including sustainable packaging, refill systems, minimalist design, and luxury aesthetics. 9.Prepare technical documentation and evaluation reports for packaging projects.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Cosmetic Science, or related fields.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging R&D or packaging procurement in the cosmetics or personal care industry.
  3. Solid knowledge of cosmetic packaging materials such as plastics (PET, PP, ABS), glass, aluminum, and formula-safe materials.
  4. Understanding of mold development, injection and blow molding, and decoration processes such as hot-stamping, silk screen printing, and UV coating.
  5. Experience in packaging compatibility testing with cosmetic formulations.
  6. Proven ability to work with international suppliers, especially from China, Korea, Japan, or Europe.
  7. Good command of English (able to read specifications and communicate with suppliers).
  8. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ERP systems
  9. Knowledge of Circular Economy principles and eco-friendly packaging solutions.
  10. A portfolio of outstanding packaging designs or experience working with premium cosmetic brands.
