Product Quality Engineer

Job Descriptions
1.Participate in design/manufacturing capability reviews for new and transferred projects with suppliers.
2.Support project teams during new product development, providing input on quality aspects.
3.Lead product qualification and production part approval processes.
4.Support compliance test protocol reviews and result reporting.
5.Evaluate measurement systems (including CMM capability) for both the internal QA Lab and suppliers.
6.Develop standard inspection procedures for on-site inspections and in-process audits.
7.Assist the QC team in troubleshooting quality complaints from internal and external customers.
8.Perform in-process audits and pre-shipment inspections for Thailand suppliers.
9.Conduct dimensional studies and other destructive/non-destructive tests on materials, garments, coatings, and products according to test protocols.
10.Assist in developing new test methods and designing jigs and fixtures for measurement/inspection.
11.Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and inspection processes. Must be able to develop and verify fixtures used by suppliers.
12.Maintain lab equipment and support the equipment calibration program.
13.Generate measurement and test reports in English.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline (Metal and Plastic preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance, including at least 2 years in supplier quality management and new product development.
- Experience in tooling design or manufacturing engineering is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of system certification (e.g., ISO 9000) and quality improvement tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 6-Sigma). Solid experience in 6-sigma projects or utilizing TS five Quality tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes for kitchen and outdoor appliances, including gas, electronic/electrical, PCBA, metal fabrication, surface coating, plastic injection molding, tooling design, electric plating, powder coating, and finished goods packaging.
- Strong organizational skills and a team-oriented approach to collaborating with different departments.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin. This role requires generating reports, communicating effectively via email, and reading drawings/documents in English. Proficiency in Chinese is essential for communication with the factory.
- Proficient in office and CAD software: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.
