Job Descriptions
1. Approve spare parts changes in accordance with the company's internal 4M Change system before submission to customers.
2. Review and approve product inspection data based on specified engineering drawings (DWG) prior to delivery.
3. Evaluate and approve trial production results before customer delivery.
4. Serve as a Japanese interpreter for Japanese executives stationed at the factory, including translating relevant meeting content.
5. Collaborate with production and related departments to plan and implement the annual quality improvement plan (Kodou).
6. Coordinate quality-related activities with Astemo Group and customers both domestically and internationally.
7. Lead decision-making processes in quality-related meetings and report internal product quality issues.
8. Participate in meetings to address new model issues and quality concerns in both domestic and overseas operations.
9. Support quality audits (QAV) conducted by customers from both domestic and international locations.
10. Conduct audits of QAV-1 and QAV-2 processes at supplier facilities prior to approval and mass production.
11. Act as a consultant to support all quality teams across departments as needed.
12. Make decisions and approve corrective actions for issues occurring in the company’s production processes across all products.
13. Perform other quality-related duties, including supplier part issues, in both domestic and international contexts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance (QA/QC), manufacturing engineering, or factory operations.
- Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above is preferred).
- Previous experience working with Japanese personnel or as a Japanese interpreter is highly desirable.
- Understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
- Knowledge of quality inspection (QAV), problem analysis, quality documentation, and supplier evaluation.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work across departments.
- High sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
