Job Descriptions1. Pin Control Engineer
This position is responsible for controlling correct Die insert (Pin) for mass production usage. He or She will be an authorized person to manage inventory, quality of Die inserts (Pin) using at HLAM to meet supply planning.
- Authorized to assign usage constraints and monitor individual Pin performance.
- Track and summarize Pin quality to determine reuse, re-cutting, or disposal.
- Develop visibility systems for Pin status and communicate impacts to relevant departments.
- Control the withdrawal and return of Pins used in production.
- Plan and maintain appropriate stock levels of each Pin group/diopter.
- Coordinate with Production and SCM to ensure timely Pin procurement and safety stock.
- Align production injection schedule with Pin readiness.
- Analyze data correlating Pin parameters to SP2 IOL quality defects.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and update PFMEA to prevent control errors.
- Co-train employees with process owners to share critical knowledge.
- Support internal/external audits and adhere to quality, regulatory, EHS standards.
2.Die insert (Pin) making engineer
This position is responsible for providing correct Die insert (Pin) for mass production. Transfer, Verification and Control Pin cutting program from ME department. He or She will be ensuring pin quality for mass production.
- Set up and verify cutting programs for accuracy before mass production.
- Control Pin making machines (e.g., ULG) and measuring equipment (e.g., NC3P).
- Improve treatment processes (washing, plasma coating) to ensure surface quality.
- Analyze statistical data related to Pin quality and SP2 IOL defects.
- Propose engineering improvements under QMS guidelines.
- Ensure GMP-compliant process control and update PFMEA as necessary.
- Co-train with process owners to transfer essential knowledge.
- Support GMP-related audits and inspections.
- Comply with regulatory, quality, and EHS requirements.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by superiors.
