Job Descriptions
Key Responsibilities: •Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Japanese automotive industrial sector for aluminium or metal products. •Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of Japanese automotive manufacturers, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and related industrial customers. •Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, purchasing managers, and engineers within the Japanese automotive industry. •Lead the full sales cycle from lead generation and customer presentations to negotiation and closing contracts. •Collaborate with technical, production, and logistics teams to ensure customer requirements and delivery timelines are met. •Stay updated on industry trends, Japanese automotive market dynamics, and competitor activity. •Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on progress to senior management. •Represent the company at relevant automotive trade shows, industry events, and client meetings. •Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards, including quality and safety requirements.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Metallurgy, or related discipline preferred.
  2. Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in industrial aluminium or metal sectors, preferably targeting the automotive industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of the Japanese automotive market and a verified list of Japanese automotive customers (OEMs and suppliers) is highly preferred.
  4. Fluency in English; Japanese language skills are a significant advantage.
  5. Excellent hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to generate and close new business leads.
  6. Be able to read drawing and understand GD&T
  7. Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Familiarity with automotive procurement processes and quality standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949) is a plus.
  9. Willingness and ability to travel frequently for customer visits and industry events.
  10. Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  11. Established network and direct contacts within Japanese automotive OEMs and Tier 1/2 suppliers.
  12. Understanding of Japanese business culture and communication style.
  13. Experience working in international sales environments with multicultural teams.
