The Process Engineer plays a vital role in our air conditioning manufacturing facility, focusing on the design, implementation, optimization, and monitoring of industrial production processes. This position aims to significantly enhance productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, and ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental standards. The Process Engineer will apply lean manufacturing principles and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, quality, and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Process Development & Improvement: Design and develop new manufacturing processes for AC components and finished units. Continuously evaluate and enhance existing processes to boost efficiency, quality, and throughput. Work with R&D to seamlessly integrate new product designs into full-scale production.
- Optimization & Troubleshooting: Analyze production data to pinpoint inefficiencies and bottlenecks, implementing continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Identify and resolve production issues through root cause analysis, developing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., OHSAS, ISO), and environmental policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards, contributing to a safe working environment.
- Documentation & Training: Define, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for consistent performance. Train and coach operators and production teams on new processes, equipment, and standards.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with production staff, quality control, maintenance, and R&D to achieve operational excellence.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience (typically 5-10 years) in process engineering within a manufacturing setting, preferably in HVAC or a similar durable goods industry, with a strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and familiar with CAD software. Strong knowledge of AC manufacturing processes (e.g., assembly, brazing, testing) and relevant industry standards.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively, manage projects, and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment.
