Job Descriptions
1.Lead the development of new cosmetic, skincare, and/or dietary supplement products from concept to launch.
2.Conduct market and trend analysis to identify consumer insights and opportunities for product innovation.
3.Formulate and optimize product recipes using appropriate active and functional ingredients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ASEAN Cosmetics Directive).
4.Collaborate cross-functionally with QA/QC, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and external OEM/ODM manufacturers.
5.Perform product stability, compatibility, and performance testing to validate product efficacy and safety.
6.Evaluate and control formulation costs while meeting target quality and performance standards.
7.Prepare and maintain technical documentation including MSDS, PIF, COA, and product dossiers for regulatory submissions.
8.Provide technical support and training to Marketing and Sales teams to ensure proper product knowledge.
9.Monitor product performance post-launch and improve formulations if needed based on customer feedback or claims.
10.Mentor and support junior NPD or R&D staff members in product development processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmacy, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in New Product Development or R&D in the cosmetics or supplement industry.
- Strong knowledge of active ingredients, raw materials, and functional ingredients used in skincare and supplement formulations.
- Familiar with manufacturing processes, GMP standards, and regulatory compliance in cosmetics and/or health products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for cost calculation and formulation documentation.
- Experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturers is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally under tight deadlines.
