Job Descriptions
1. Manage the full process of importing and exporting goods, including documentation, compliance, and customs clearance.
2. Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations (e.g., INCOTERMS, customs regulations, trade agreements).
3. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
4. Negotiate and manage freight contracts, rates, and service agreements.
5. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
6. Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions and file necessary reports with government agencies.
7. Evaluate and improve logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
8. Stay up-to-date with international trade developments, tariffs, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Age 40-50, have 5-10 years direct experience in management level in manufacturing
- Deep understanding of incoterms, trade agreements, tariffs, and global shipping routes
- Familiar with import/export laws, commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin
- Experience negotiating with ocean, air, and land carriers; choosing the best shipping methods.
- Ability to identify and minimize risks related to currency fluctuations, delays, and trade restrictions.
- Ability to resolve shipping issues, delays, or document discrepancies efficiently
