1.1. Direct and coordinate the overall production activities of the plant, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
1.2. Optimize workflow and resource utilization to achieve production goals and maintain high efficiency.
1.3. Monitor day-to-day plant performance and initiate corrective actions as needed.
2. Quality Assurance
2.1. Ensure that production output meets or exceeds company quality standards and automotive industry requirements (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
2.2. Collaborate with the Quality team to resolve non-conformities and support customer satisfaction initiatives.
3. Safety & Compliance
3.1. Champion a culture of safety and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
3.2. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
4. Maintenance & Equipment Oversight
4.1. Oversee the maintenance of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
4.2. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
5. Team Leadership & Staff Development
5.1. Lead, motivate, and develop plant personnel across production, maintenance, and support functions.
5.2. Oversee staffing, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
5.3. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
6. Process Improvement & Cost Management
6.1. Identify and implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase productivity.
6.2. Monitor KPIs and use data-driven decision-making to improve plant efficiency.
6.3. Prepare and manage plant budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
7. Strategic Planning & Communication
7.1. Align plant operations with company strategic goals and communicate performance metrics to senior management.
7.2. Represent the plant in corporate meetings, audits, and external communications as required.
