Job Descriptions
Job Purpose To lead and deliver high-performance mechanical engineering solutions for data center projects in Thailand, ensuring optimal cooling, energy efficiency, and system reliability. The role supports the architectural vision through integration of advanced mechanical systems, contributing to the design and execution of mission-critical infrastructure that meets client, regulatory, and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities •Lead mechanical design for data centre projects from concept through detailed design and construction phases. •Design and specify HVAC systems, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units, containment solutions, and air handling strategies to ensure maximum energy performance and uptime. •Coordinate closely with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to integrate mechanical systems effectively. •Conduct load calculations, CFD simulations, and thermal analysis to optimise cooling performance and airflow. •Ensure compliance with client requirements, local Thai building codes, ASHRAE, and Uptime Institute standards. •Provide on-site support during inspections and commissioning to verify alignment with design intent. •Stay informed on emerging technologies such as liquid cooling, energy recovery, and economization strategies. •Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
  2. Minimum 5–7 years of mechanical design experience, with at least 5 years in data centres or mission-critical facilities.
  3. Prior experience working in a consultancy firm is an advantage.
  4. Strong knowledge of ASHRAE TC9.9, Uptime Tier standards, and relevant mechanical engineering codes.
  5. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, Trace 700, and CFD simulation tools.
  6. Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  7. Fluency in Thai and English (both spoken and written) is required.
  8. Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred.
  9. LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience is an added advantage.
