Job Descriptions

Sourcing: •Develop and implement the sourcing process by coordinating with farmers/suppliers to ensure that the most appropriate supplier selection is achieved with ICS guidelines •Supervise sourcing team in identifying potential suppliers/farmers and enroll them into the HHT Direct farming system. Compliance: •Implementation and control of the Organic, Fair Trade and Social Responsibility process throughout the chain of custody, following “Fair For Life” and Organic and other company’s standards requirements. •To reliable with the internal control system to ensure excellent efficiency of our monitoring. Review and adapt the control program to improve risks coverage. •Understand the laws and regulations under which food crops must be produced. •Implementation and follow up of corrective actions. Supporting: •Provide expertise to ensure quality of crops and improve yield on a daily/weekly basis •Implement operational solutions to production challenges in line with the standards. •Build strong trustworthy relationship with farmers to ensure long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships. •Ensure bruise-free handling during harvest, storage and transport. •Monitor use of fertilizers, and weeds, pest and disease control respecting organic farming methods. •Validate process and yields estimation to forecast supply availability to the company. Extension: •Conduct experiment and develop best methods to increase yield and quality of crops. •Develop best practices for irrigation and fertilization. •Develop methods to control weeds and pests to keep crops disease-free. •Develop and supervise environmental projects. Experiment intercropping to improve biodiversity and organic methods to control weeds, pests and diseases. •Train farmers on organic farming methods. Reporting: •Analyze information and data collected and prepare reports in a serviceable format to management. •Prepare written reports and presentations to keep track of fieldwork and build database

Qualifications

Proven work experience in sourcing and (or) procurement
Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture (agronomy, horticulture, extension, soil science, or related field. 2-3 years of working experience, experience in a certified organic environment is a plus.
Passionate and high-energy individual who wants to develop in a fast-growing and innovative company. Strong aspiration to work with farmers and workers to improve social and environmental impact. Able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment, flexible hours.
Good communication skills.
Flexible and creative problem-solving.
Ability to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines.
Proficient in Thai, able to communicate in English, both written and spoken.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Valid driving license and car.

Location

This position is required to implement sourcing activities and maintain strategic purchasing processes and procedures. Also, to maintains relationships with farmers/suppliers to serve quality coconut to the company by ensuring organic farming practices have been focused and monitored following internal control system.
