City Airways Co., Ltd
City Airways (Thai:ซิตี้แอร์เวย์) is an airline in Thailand, The airline was established on 24th February 2011 with registered capital of 200 Million Baht. The airline operates services to destinations in Asia and China. The main base is Don Muang Airport, Bangkok.
In 2011, the company had one time 5 x B737-400 aircrafts, the company began operating on domestic flights from Donmuang International Airport to Phuket and few cities in China. During the past several years City Airways had operated 737-400 and 737-800;
In Sept, 2014, the company was taken over by LM Finance Group, currently operating, 1 x 737-400, 1 x 737-800 two aircraft; operating the route of BKK-HKT, BKK-HKG, and HKT – CNX 3 routes. The fly permit to China has been granted and more destinations in China will be added to support the increasing amount market demands.
In 2015, the Chairman Mr. Yan of City Airways signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) to lease 10 Comac C919 and 10 Comac ARJ21-700 aircraft.
